BAI Has Been Launched!

A group of enthusiasts and visionaries from the private sector, think tanks, NGOs, and various organizations have joined efforts to establish a new organization aimed at harnessing the power of innovative technologies to support sustainable development.

Blockchain Alliance International (BAI) has been registered in New York as a non-profit, non-governmental organization.

BAI will provide a platform for interaction among private companies, entrepreneurs, universities, governments, and multilateral organizations. The Alliance will facilitate multi-stakeholder discussions on the challenges and opportunities presented by information technologies, conduct research on the prospects and practical applications of blockchain technology, and support initiatives contributing to the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The BAI Executive Board has convened to determine the organization’s initial membership and adopt its by-laws. Ambassador Alexandru Cujba, an expert in international development and former Permanent Representative of the Republic of Moldova to the United Nations, has been elected as the founding Chairman of the organization.

The BAI Charter and statutory documents have been formally adopted. Blockchain Alliance International is now preparing for a long and productive journey in support of innovation, cooperation, and sustainable development.
