BAI Expands Technology Partnerships in Hong Kong
During his recent trip to Hong Kong, BAI Executive President Alexandru Cujba visited Hong Kong Cyberport, one of the city’s major digital technology and innovation hubs, and met with Ms. Rachel Lee, Director of Blockchain & Digital Asset. Ambassador Cujba presented BAI’s current activities and international initiatives, while the Cyberport team introduced its work in supporting Hong Kong’s expanding blockchain, Web3 and digital-asset ecosystem. The discussion explored areas of common interest and potential opportunities for future cooperation, including international outreach, technology innovation and activities connecting technology companies with broader international networks.
The visit provided BAI with an opportunity to learn more about Cyberport’s growing innovation community and to discuss how its experience and network could potentially connect with BAI’s international programmes and partnerships. Particular attention was given to opportunities for facilitating exchanges among technology companies, SMEs and international partners and to possible joint activities in Hong Kong and internationally.
While in Hong Kong, BAI also renewed its dialogue with Mr. Caspar Wong, CEO of Web3Labs and CEO and Partner of Goldford Group, whom Ambassador Cujba first met during the Hong Kong Web3 Festival in 2023. The exchange focused on recent developments at the intersection of Web3 and Artificial Intelligence and on possibilities for future cooperation. BAI and its Hong Kong partners will continue exploring practical opportunities to connect innovative technology projects with international markets, institutions and sustainable-development initiatives.
