Blockchain Alliance International congratulates H.E. Munir Akram, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, upon his election as the seventy-six President of the Economic and Social Council. As Ambassador Akram has outlined in his priorities for the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) for the year when the United Nations celebrates its 75th anniversary, “ we should promote specific actions in three areas: one, financing of the COVID-19, SDG and Climate goals; two, sustainable infrastructure development, and three, application of advanced science and technology for sustained, efficient and sustainable growth”. BAI activities are directed to supplementing UN efforts and providing a meaningful contribution to the technology area; the Organization is looking forward to engaging ECOSOC and other stakeholders, and to effectively using the opportunities of the digital revolution.
